Osteoporosis develops when Oestrogen and Progesterone get out of balance. The bones become porous and and fragile and break more easily.   Sprouted foods can help because of the plant hormones and other flavonoids and red clover is especially good for bone health. But you also need the right minerals and vitamins (Vit D, Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc) for your bones.  Obviously, you can get supplements, but did you know that you could make your own mineral mix from good organic eggshells? If you have your own chickens, and you know where these eggs come from, even better!  I’ve been giving eggshells to my chickens for a while, for Calcium, never thinking that they are good for me too. This seems to be an ancient recipe and I’m now using this recipe for my own egg shell mix and Calcium intake.    Half a teaspoon of eggshell mix a day contains the following:   Calcium 900 mg, Magnesium 24 mg, Phosphorus 8.4 mg, Potassium 8.0mg Sodium 9.0 mg

Instructions:

Save and wash eggshells from 6-8 organic eggs. Put them on a tray and place them in the over at 150Degrees (130C FAn oven) for 25 minutes and grind them in a coffee grinder or a food processor (I used my coffee grinder) and keep them in an airtight jar.

I use mine sprinkled over my breakfast – but you can swallow with some water. It is incredibly easy to make and gives all the minerals needed for the absorption of Vitamin D.
