Chinnamasta is about the nature of the Self and the regaining of Self-knowledge, otherwise known as liberation. Chinnamasta is a form or the Divine Mother shown as having cut off her own head. The blood that spurts from her neck flows in three streams – one into her own mouth and the others into the mouths of her two female attendants, Dakini and Varnini.
